Manuel Süess moved to Rheinfelden in spring 2010. He decided to move there as it was nearer to Freiburg im Breisgau where he often took training lessons for competition dancing. At that time he was employed as a sales representative for a swimming pool company. But only some days after moving to his new flat the company announced that the newest employees will be laid off due to the difficult economic situation of the company.
As a consequence the idea of founding an own company became more and more concrete. In autumn he presented the idea to the RAV. They agreed and he could join a support program to become self-employed.
Summer 2010 Swiss media wrote for the first time about Manuel Süess’ artwork. A little later, in autumn 2010 an admirer of his work recommended him to the gallery Steiner in Vienna. They also liked his work very much and started to represent him.
During that year he put his main focus on creating abstract, emotional acrylic paintings on wood.
